Cleaning Your Bubka Breast Pump
To maintain optimal performance and hygiene, start by washing all silicone parts (excluding the motor) with warm, soapy water. It's important to clean these parts between uses to remove milk residue and reduce the risk of bacteria. Don't forget to plug in your motor using the provided USB cable to ensure it’s fully charged and ready for your next use.
After washing, sterilise the silicone and plastic components by boiling them for 5 minutes or using a steam steriliser. Avoid temperatures above 100 degrees Celsius. We recommend sterilising daily or between uses if needed. Allow parts to air dry or use a clean towel to dry them thoroughly.
Once everything is cleaned and sterilised, and your motor is charged, you’re ready to pump!
Choosing the Right Pump Mode
The Bubka Breast Pump offers several modes to suit your needs:
- Massage Mode: Ideal for starting your session, this mode helps make pumping more comfortable and stimulates letdown.
- Expression Mode: Designed for efficient milk extraction with long, steady suctions.
- Lactation Mode: Mimics your baby’s sucking pattern with a sequence of 3 short suctions followed by 1 long suction, aiding milk production.
- Auto Mode: Automatically transitions from Massage to Expression Mode for a seamless pumping experience.
Depending on your model - Move, Pro 2, or OG - adjust the suction strength and speed to find your most comfortable setting. Higher suction levels aren’t always better; excessive suction can be painful and hinder milk flow. Aim for a setting that is comfortable and effective.
