To ensure you're getting the best results from your Bubka Breast Pump, follow these tips for optimal performance:

1. Re-check Your Flange Size: It’s important to periodically review your flange size to ensure it still fits correctly. If you initially ordered a 17mm flange, for example, double-check using our Bubka Flange Guide to see if it's still the best fit for you.
2. Wear a Supportive Nursing Bra: Make sure your nursing bra provides a snug fit for your Bubka Breast Pump. A well-fitted bra helps keep the pump secure and in place.
3. Ensure a Tight Assembly: Once your Bubka Breast Pump is aligned and assembled, press it together firmly. Ensuring all parts are tightly connected will maximise suction strength.
4. Centre the Pump on Your Nipple: When positioning the pump, make sure it’s centred directly over your nipple. An easy way to do this is to place the collection cup on first and then attach the motor. This allows better visibility through the cup, ensuring everything is aligned. After turning on the pump, give it a light tug to check the suction. Feeling the letdown reflex can also confirm the pump is sitting snugly and centred.
5. Check the Duckbill and Diaphragm: Ensure that the duckbill valve (the triangular piece) and diaphragm (the circular piece) are securely in place and free of milk residue. These components are essential for maintaining strong suction and overall pump performance.
6. Replace Silicone Parts Regularly: Over time, silicone parts like the duckbill and diaphragm may wear out. We recommend replacing these parts every 8 weeks, depending on how often you pump. Regular maintenance ensures you continue to get the best results from your pump.
7. Adjust for Your Pump Model: For the best suction, check the specifications for your Bubka Breast Pump model - whether it's the Bubka OG, Pro 2, or Move. Adjust the suction settings accordingly to maximise output.
